Ensuring stable blood sugar levels is very important. Symptoms of an imbalance are mood swings, cravings for sugar or stimulants such as tea, coffee and cigarettes, anxiety, chronic fatigue, palpitations and difficulty concentrating. This can be tested at the doctors but if you do get any of these sort of cravings it is probably worth cutting out whatever the craving is for anyway and see how you feel. If you cut out sugar or caffeine for a month it is likely that you will see an improvement in your physical and/or mental health.

If you think this might be an issue, look to see there is a link between the substances you take and how you feel. This may not be obvious, but you may see a link. It is worth cutting these substances out (perhaps one at a time) to see if there is an improvement in your health.
