Emotional Freedom Technique
EFT is the mainstay of stress management in my life. Basically it involves tapping in certain places whilst focussing on whatever issue you have in mind and it often seems to be able to clear negativity very easily. The recommended procedure is to concentrate on a small issue at a time, this is more effective than trying to deal with a big issue. The places required to tap are based on acupuncture points.
For instance, you wouldn’t work on the fact that you are worried that you never have enough money, you would work on the fact that you are worried that you won’t have enough money to put more petrol in the car today. Similarly, you wouldn’t work on the fact that you are frequently angry with your friend because she is always rude to you, you would work on the fact that you are angry with her today because she was rude to you today.
Often when you start this procedure other issues pop into the mind and then you can start clearing these. Many things that stress us do so because of past events, often that we don’t even remember, and the best solution is to clear these as well.
For instance, when your husband says something in a certain way, do you get angry even though there was no real reason to? Maybe it goes back to when you were young and your father did the same thing when he told you that you couldn’t have any sweets and that is the anger that you are experiencing.
Other than giving a quick overview, there is a limit to what I can cover here, there are many books and courses that go into great depth. There is plenty of free information on the internet that will tell you all you want to know. Also, it is possible to tap along with free online videos, for instance on youtube, catering for your specific issue.
EFT was created by Gary Craig, whose website can be seen at http://www.emofree.com/ and since then there has been an enormous amount of research and development of it. Personal feedback has claimed that it has cured many people of many different conditions. EFT only works on emotional issues but since we know that probably all physical conditions have an emotional aspect, sort the emotions could sort the physical condition.

Youtube has a wealth of EFT videos that you can tap along with. This is an easy way of tapping on particular issues and I feel that it is a good place to learn about the subject. Just put EFT and your issue (stress, sleeping, money etc) in the search engine and it will come up with various options, all you need to do is follow the instructions.
